The deployment of QoS network services and the entitled set of servicesoffered by existing transport protocols have motivated the design of new transportprotocols. In this chapter, we present a set of standardised transport protocols andadvanced transport protocol mechanisms to support Quality of Service and satisfynew application requirements.
